About Us

Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center was established by Christ United Methodist Church as part of a mission to end the cycle of poverty through providing excellent, affordable child care. CUMC and its members have invested over a million dollars in Thrive including building renovations and scholarships to families in financial need and continue to support the Thrive mission. Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center, located in the lower level of the church, was established as a non-profit organization in the fall of 2018. Offering high-quality child care, Thrive opened its doors to meet the needs of families in Rochester, Minnesota. We believe that everyone should live in a community where all children are prepared for school and success in life. Thrive also believes that supporting families is a key to the success of our community. Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center builds community, one family at a time.

Our program is grounded on 4 components of early childhood education.

Family Resource Center

At Thrive, we believe that a strong partnership with families is vital to their children's success and a successful program.

Research shows that positive outcomes for children are increased when families are actively engaged in their child’s education. Therefore, families are encouraged to be active participants in their child’s experience at Thrive. Our families will have access to a Family Resources Center which will be a place to learn about community resources, talk with experts in the field and connect with other families. Parent education and enrichment activities will be planned throughout the year to share information on a variety of topics and develop strong connections between our families.
